It's not often that we come right out and say go here. This is one.

The Dock is a local bar located on US-1 about a mile or so south of Dunlawton Ave. We saw a sign saying "Bikers welcome free BBQ". So we wanted to find out what in the hell was going on! After all this is bike week and Daytona is pretty well know for squeezing the last nickel out of every tourist and visitor they can, so when we see "FREE", we put on the brakes and check it out.

The first person we talked to was Roy. Roy is a retired deputy and now a police officer working for a nearby city. He told us the bar was friendly, safe, the food was in fact, free (for the day) and the draft $1.00. He said the place was crowded a little while ago but, it was getting cold and drizzling.

Most places use bike week and race events to make their year. This is a good, honest, safe establishment. They don't raise their prices for Bike Week or other events. We believe for that reason alone they deserve our business.

It wasn't long after the owner came over. He shook hands right away and asked if we had eaten. He explained that he always kicked off every event with a free BBQ. Nice people there.

The locals are friendly, the food is good and the beer is cheap and cold.

If you're looking for a nice place to get a beer, conversation and just hangout, we highly recommend the Dock.
 

Service - Fast.

Entertainment - DJ inside, but this is a place where you can actually hold a conversation.

Drinks - $1.00 draft.

Parking - There seems to be plenty of parking, in front and in back of the bar.

Safety - Good place to take the wife or friends.
